Bad Friend Wines: Akuyu

Bad Friend is the wine child of David & Kate Main who have made small batch wines for 20 years.

David is a graduate in winemaking from Curtin University, and Kate has many years of experience in horticulture.

The small old Merlot and Malbec vineyards along Charley Creek Rd lie in rolling hills outside Donnybrook and make lovely supple, fruit-forward wines.

Bad Friend or Akuyu is named after a small group of antiquarian bookshop owners who would gather each week for conversation and a glass of red.
